Helping Local Trades Get Found on Google — Clearly and Properly
My names is Marc, and I didn’t start out wanting to build flashy websites or run a large marketing agency.
I became interested in websites and local search because I could see how many good trades businesses were being overlooked online — not because they weren’t skilled, but because their websites were unclear, slow, or not structured properly for Google.
Over time, I began learning how search works, how Google Maps rankings are influenced, and how small structural improvements can make a real difference to visibility and enquiries.
That interest gradually turned into a focused approach: helping local trades and home service businesses build simple, lightweight websites and improve their presence in Google Search and Google Maps.
Why I Focus on Simplicity
I don’t build complex, over-designed websites.
I prefer clean structure, fast performance and clarity — because that’s what supports long-term visibility.
Websites built with heavy page builders and unnecessary features often look impressive at first, but they’re harder to optimise and maintain over time.
Instead, I use a lightweight framework and focus on:
- Clear service structure
- Strong local signals
- Fast loading performance
- Proper SEO foundations
- Practical improvements that build steadily
It’s a straightforward approach, designed for businesses that rely on consistent enquiries rather than digital gimmicks.

Background & Experience
Before focusing fully on local SEO and website structure for trades, I spent several years working on the website of one of the UK’s leading online cycle retailers — a multi-million-pound turnover e-commerce business operating in a highly competitive market.
My role involved improving on-page structure, optimising product descriptions, refining images, and aligning content with relevant keywords to strengthen search visibility and support sustained organic growth.
Working within a large-scale e-commerce environment provided a practical understanding of how structured content, internal linking, technical clarity and consistent optimisation directly influence rankings and performance in Google.
I have also worked within an SEO agency environment, supporting website optimisation and local search campaigns, as well as building and improving websites for small businesses and personal projects. These experiences reinforced the importance of clear structure, realistic expectations and steady optimisation rather than short-term tactics.
Over time, I’ve continued developing my knowledge through recognised industry tools including SEMrush, BrightLocal and Google’s own platforms. While tools are useful, the most important element remains applying them correctly — focusing on structure, clarity and long-term visibility.
Working Directly With You
I work independently and handle projects personally from start to finish. That means you deal directly with me rather than an account manager or outsourced team.
I understand the pressures small businesses face — balancing workload, costs and customer expectations — which is why my approach focuses on clarity, steady improvement and realistic outcomes rather than inflated promises.
A Calm, Straightforward Approach
You won’t be met with aggressive sales tactics or over-promising. I don’t believe in brash marketing talk or high-pressure pitches.
My focus is on doing the work properly — improving structure, strengthening visibility and building steady results over time.
I’m not here to sell services you don’t need. I’m here to apply local SEO correctly and clearly, so you understand what’s being done and why.
If that sounds like the right approach, I’d be happy to have a conversation.
Based in the UK, Focused on Surrey
Having spent most of my life in Surrey, I understand the areas and the types of businesses operating there. My focus is on helping trades and home service businesses across Surrey strengthen their visibility in Google Search and Google Maps.
